On Friday, June 5, MACAE will host its first ESOL Summit from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at RDC Newcomer Center in Lansing (5509 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing, MI 48911). This one-day professional development event will bring together ESOL professionals from across Michigan to explore critical topics shaping the field, including workforce alignment, funding strategies, cultural humility, and the role of AI and media in ESOL instruction. Participants may earn up to 4.0 SCECHs for attending. This is a teacher-focused event. It is designed to equip both new and experienced ESOL teachers, classroom staff, volunteers, and admin with practical tools, new strategies, and statewide connections.
